GovState Student Selected for 2026 WiCyS + ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity Program

Governors State University student Kayla Giordani has been selected to participate in the 2026 Spring ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity program with Women in CyberSecurity, commonly known as WiCyS.

The program provides participants with training and preparation for the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity certification, an entry-level credential designed to build foundational knowledge in cybersecurity concepts, security operations, networking, risk management, and professional security practices.

Recognizing student achievement

Kayla is an Information Technology student at Governors State University and serves as President of the GovState DSMT WiCyS Student Chapter. Her selection places her alongside aspiring cybersecurity professionals from across the country who are working to strengthen their technical knowledge and prepare for future opportunities in the field.
